Only if you are one. Claiming availability the practice cannot meet produces angry calls, bad reviews and, in some provinces, a regulatory problem. Stating real hours and a clear after-hours path performs better than an implied promise nobody can keep.

"Emergency dentist" draws 2,000 Canadian searches a month at a keyword difficulty of 0, costs $2.50 a click, and returns 0.70 clicks per search. It is one of the few dental terms where high intent, high click-through and no competition all coincide.

What's Included
Primary Term Page
The page almost no Canadian practice in this field has built, aimed at the term with the clearest intent and least competition.
Question-Level Content
One page per real question — cost, recovery, candidacy, availability — rather than a services list that answers none completely.
Google Business Profile Depth
Categories, services, photos and review process, which decide the share of local searches that never reach a website.
Answer-Ready Structure
Question-shaped headings and FAQ schema, since cost and comparison queries are where AI Overviews appear most.
Consult-Level Reporting
Tracked calls and forms attributed per page, reported as consults rather than clicks.
Where does the opportunity sit?
It is also the one where marketing fails for reasons that have nothing to do with marketing. Someone in acute pain calls two or three clinics and books with whoever answers. If the phone rings out, the ranking was irrelevant.
So the first thing we look at is not the website. It is the hours the practice can genuinely accept an emergency, who answers outside them, and what happens to a call that is not picked up.
Done properly this is also the cheapest patient acquisition in dentistry, because an emergency patient who is treated well converts into a regular patient at a rate no campaign can match.
What we build
A small set of pages that each answer one question completely, plus the tracking to say which of them produced the call.
- An emergency page that states real availability rather than implying 24/7
- Specific pages for the common emergencies: knocked-out tooth, abscess, broken tooth, lost crown
- Ad scheduling matched to when someone can actually answer, not to office hours on paper
- Missed-call handling, because this is the one category where an unanswered call is a lost patient
- A conversion path from emergency visit to regular patient, which is where the real value sits
How is it measured?
Tracked calls and form submissions attributed to the page that produced them, reported as consults rather than clicks. We separate the streams that behave differently rather than averaging them into one number.
And we say plainly when a month is too short a window to read anything into.
What we will not claim
We will not promise case or patient volume. Marketing influences how many of the right people reach you and whether that is measured; what happens after is clinical and commercial judgement.
We also will not publish clinical claims, availability or recovery timelines the practice has not approved. In Canadian dental advertising that exposure sits with the practice.

FAQ
Because the call is not answered. Emergency patients call two or three clinics and book with the first that picks up. Ranking first and missing the call is worse than not ranking, since you paid for the click. Call handling is the first thing we look at, before any page work.
More than the single visit suggests. An emergency patient treated well is one of the highest-converting routes to a long-term patient relationship, at an acquisition cost far below a typical new-patient campaign — provided the follow-up exists to make that transition.
On research-stage questions, heavily. In our 100-keyword Canadian sample, 94% of cost queries and 92% of comparison queries returned an AI Overview, while searches naming a city returned one only 10% of the time. Cost and candidacy pages need to be quotable; local terms still resolve to the map pack.
